I got forced into coming to my old robotics team’s monday meeting.

Its boring and the internet is filtered. But it’s fast. That’s all I really care about…

Anyway, after creating the Goldcard without a microSD adapter, I finally rooted my phone and spent about an hour figuring out how to install CyanogenMOD. I almost failed and brick’d my phone, but luckily I was able to get CM to work, just before I went to bed. I was not smart enough, however, to remember to save my contacts to my SIM card or spare SD card. Instead, I spent the better part of my morning joining contacts together and removing duplicates.

As for the other thing, Homestuck, It’s a webcomic written by a mastermind known as Andrew Hussie and can make a grown man’s mind hurt. It also has a ton of fan-made content, and its all really good. check it out sometime.

This makes me laugh. Why? BECAUSE THIS PROBLEM WAS NEVER HAD WITH WORDPRESS!!!!

Now, In all honesty, I did watch a video from Chris Pirillo last night that said, simply, “you should care about tumblr”

This is fine that he says this stuff, because he says that Tumblr is becoming more of an image sharing tool than a blogging tool. Ignoring everything else, I completely agree! I dont make content, myself, so why should I care about it? It’s got tools for sharing multiple images at once, as well as audio and video. The Quote, Chat, and Text posts seem to be a bit more depreciated by the community, only because they don’t know what the hell to use them for most of the time. Out of the three, Text gets the most use because people can post simple status updates. Now with this new limit of 250 posts per day, Tumblr probably believes that people will stop sharing random crap and making useless text posts and start sharing useful information.

I think this is good because they’re finally getting more serious about their platform, turning it from image sharing into a better blog system. The one thing that is still missing, however, is the ability to install it on your own server’s hard drive. If they allowed that, but gave it the power to integrate into the currently-existing Tumblr databases and blogrolls, that would make it, possibly, more powerful than WordPress. They probably won’t ever do that, though!
